Sun-Sentinel Children’s Fund
The Sun-Sentinel Children's Fund provides grants to more than 148 nonprofit organizations annually in South Florida that help children and families with special needs. The Fund's areas of focus include but are not limited to:
- Food, shelter and emergency assistance
- Mental/physical health programs
- Abuse and neglect prevention
- Education and cultural arts programs
- Holiday activities/toys
In the year 2006, the first $2,000,000 dollars donated to the Sun-Sentinel Children's Fund will receive matching dollars from the McCormick Foundation.
Last year the Sun-Sentinel Children's Fund awarded 136 grants totaling more than $4.1 million to nonprofit organizations in South Florida.
