Mission
The Q13 Fox Family Fund is committed to supporting the positive development of children, teens and families. We believe the future of our community depends on helping young people become competent in their social, emotional, physical and intellectual lives.
Guidelines
Grants are made to nonprofit organizations in the KCPQ viewing areas whose programs enhance opportunities for youth in education, health care, and mentoring.
The Fund, at its discretion, may recommend grant applications from programs outside these guidelines or to meet unanticipated community needs. Grants are not made to government entities, foundations or other re-granting organizations, or for capital fund drives. The Fund cannot guarantee multi-year support.
Application Procedures
Initial requests for support should be in the form of a brief written proposal. Periodically the Q13 Fox Family Fund Grant Committee will meet to consider proposals. Organizations selected will be invited to submit applications. Application guidelines will be provided at that time.
Grants are awarded at the discretion of the McCormick Foundation Board of Directors. Grants are authorized at quarterly meetings of the Foundation Board and distributed shortly thereafter. Grant applications take approximately three months to process. No more than one grant per year will be made to an agency. The Foundation does not make grants that would financially benefit Tribune Company or any of its subsidiaries.
