Guidelines
Grants are made from the Fox 59/CW4 Community Fund in response to applications from 501(c)(3) organizations primarily in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The Fox 59/CW4 Community Fund is committed to programs and activities that foster Positive Youth Development.
Primary Interests
The Community Fund defines Positive Youth Development as a process which prepares young people, ages thirteen through eighteen, to meet the challenges of adolescents and adulthood through coordinated, progressive series of activities and experiences which help them become socially, morally, emotionally, physically, and cognitively competent. A youth development approach allows organizations, programs, and activities to focus on providing opportunities that develop and enhance youth's capacities and strengths, in contrast to deficit-based models, which focus solely on fixing a problem or preventing a type of behavior.
From time to time, the Fox 59/CW4 Community Fund may consider grants outside the specific area, at its discretion.
Geographic Priority
The Fox 59/CW4 Community Fund serves the greater Indianapolis area including Marion County, Johnson County, Hancock County, Hendricks County, and Shelby County. Statewide programs are not eligible for Community Fund grants, unless a grant proposal is constructed to benefit residents of the designated service area only.
