Ducks Care
In 1997, the Anaheim Ducks and the McCormick Foundation joined forces to form Ducks Care to make funds available to the local community through foundation approved grants. Since the fund's inception, Ducks Care has awarded more than 75 grants to 38 worthy organizations in Orange County and an additional 15 organizations received grants for the first time from Ducks Care in 2004.
Ducks Care is dedicated to supporting organizations that facilitate positive change in our community by focusing on the education, health and well-being, and recreation of children and families throughout Southern California, principally Orange County, with a particular emphasis on programs aimed at at-risk and disadvantaged populations.
Ducks Care surpassed the $5 million dollar plateau for grants given to local nonprofit organizations in October 2004. Ducks Care raises monies each year through a series of fundraising activities such as the Annual Ducks Golf Classic and Dux in Tux.
