Did you know?
- The McCormick Foundation and its community partners raised more than $9.4 million from
47,000 donors to support victim relief and recovery efforts resulting from Hurricane Katrina.
The Foundation matched the first $2 million raised at 50 cents on the dollar
- In 2005, on the strength of people's generosity and the role
of each partner in their community, the Foundation was able to make 1,600 grants,
totaling over $60 million. Of that total, 54 percent supported programs for children and youth.
- Through lead funding by the Comunities program the Greater Food Depository fight hunger through their
Nourish for knowledge program.This program enables approximately 2,400 low-income children in the
Chicago-area the opportunity to receive free, take-home bags of food for the weekend.
